  3. On each CD you will find:
  4. * Adobe Acrobat« Reader software
  5. * Apple QuickTime software 
  6.  
  7. The Adobe ActionPack is in Portable Document Format (PDF):  
  8. YOU MUST INSTALL THE ACROBAT READER TO VIEW THE ACTIONPACK INTERFACE! 
  9. Note: the "ReadMe" folder on this CD contains copies of this ReadMe file in French, 
  10. German, and Spanish.

  13. INSTALLING THE ACROBAT READER 
  14. ============================================================
  15. The Acrobat Reader gives you instant access to the PDF documents contained on this CD. 
  16. With the Acrobat Reader, you can view, print, and navigate any PDF file.

  18. W I N D O W S«
  19. - To install Acrobat Reader 3.0 on your hard drive, from the Windows Program Manager, 
  20. choose Run from the File menu; type [drive]:\acrobat\rdr_srch\16_BIT\setup.exe 
  21. - For Windows 95, open My Computer, mount the CD-ROM drive, and open the Acrobat 
  22. Reader folder [drive]:\acrobat\rdr_srch\32_BIT\setup.exe.  Click on the Setup icon.  
  23. This will open the Windows installation Wizard.
  24. - Follow the instructions on your screen.
  25. - Installation requires approximately 3 MB of free hard-disk space.

  28. - To install Acrobat Reader 3.0 on your hard drive, double-click on the Adobe Acrobat 
  29. Reader 3.0 folder after mounting the CD-ROM.
  30. - Double-click on the æReader 3.0 InstallerÆ icon.
  31. - Follow the instructions on your screen.
  32. - Installation requires approximately 3MB of free hard-disk space.

  34. After installing the Acrobat Reader, open the "Welcome.pdf" file to open the ActionPack 
  35. interface  For the latest information about the Acrobat Reader software, including 
  36. installation notes, refer to the "ReadMe" file inside the Acrobat directory.

  39. INSTALLING QUICKTIME
  40. ============================================================
  41. The Adobe ActionPack contains movies that require QuickTime software to play. 
  42. We have provided version 2.5 of QuickTime in the directory named "QuickTime" on each CD. 
  43.  
  44. W I N D O W S
  45. There may be conflicts if you have earlier versions of QuickTime installed on your system. 
  46. To avoid these conflicts, the Installer can find any earlier versions you may have by 
  47. selecting START in the "Check Existing Versions" dialog box.
  48. - To install QuickTime on your hard drive, from the Windows Program Manager, choose Run from the File menu; type; [drive]:\Qucktime\QT16.EXE 
  49. - For Windows 95, open My Computer, mount the CD-ROM drive, and open the QuickTime 
  50. folder [drive]:\Qucktime\QT32.EXE.  Click on the Setup.exe icon and view the ReadMe 
  51. file for more information.
  52. - Follow the instructions on your screen.

  55. - To install QuickTime on your hard drive, click on the Adobe icon after the CD-ROM 
  56. mounts. Open the "Apple QuickTime 2.5" folder.
  57. - Double-click on the Installer icon and follow the instructions on your screen. 
  58. View the ReadMe file for more information.

  61. ADOBE ACTIONPACK INTERFACE  
  62. ============================================================
  63. The Adobe ActionPack interface is in PDF, therefore you must install the Acrobat Reader 
  64. to view the interface.  Click on the "Welcome.pdf" file in the CD window to open the 
  65. interface. Click on the Help icon for information on how to navigate through the 
  66. interface.

  68. WEB LINKS

  70. Within the ActionPack interface are links to the World Wide Web. 
  71. These links will remove you from the ActionPack file, launch your Web browser and/or 
  72. ISP program, and connect you to the specific page(s).  These Web links will not work 
  73. if your system is not configured for Internet access 
  74. with a modem, ISP, network card, etc.).
